The Association of Cancer Online

provides information to cancer patients and those who care for
them. ACOR offers access to
approximately 100 public
email cancer support groups as well as ACOR-supported websites.
Cancer Care
Cancer Care provides free
professional help to
people with cancer through counseling, education, information
and
referral, and direct financial assistance. Includes links to
support, educational, treatment, and information services.

CancerNet
The National Cancer Institute of the
National
Institutes of Health provides information on types of cancer, treatment
options, clinical trials. genetics, causes, risk factors and
prevention, testing, coping, and support resources. Also provides free
access to the PDQ@ and Cancerlit databases. Information is

available in Spanish.
Treatment Guidelines The National Comprehensive Cancer Network offers treatment guidelines to help people with cancer make
informed decisions. In partnership with the American Cancer
Society, the NCCN translates Clinical Practice Guidelines in
Oncology™ for all of the major cancers and supportive care issues into
patient-friendly versions in English and Spanish. On the web or by calling 888.909.NCCN.
Chronic Disease Prevention
The
National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion is
part of the Centers for Disease Control. Find information about dealing

Intercultural Cancer Council
The Texas Medical Center in Houston seeks to
eliminate the unequal burden of cancer among racial and ethnic
minorities and medically underserved populations in the United
