Agencies on Aging (AAAs) provides most of the services for seniors in

Virginia Cooperative Extension
Cooperative Extension Offices are located in
virtually every County in
the Commonwealth and offer programs and publications on nutrition and
wellness, food
safety and preservation, and weight control as well as a variety of
other health and non-health matters. Find

Virginia Dept of Social Services
The Virginia DSS provides services to seniors
age 60
and over. VDSS offers assistance to senior citizens in need
of
protection from abuse; seniors requiring adult care
residences;
and seniors with disabilities who need help with care,
transportation and nutrition services. VDSS also
prvides food stamps benefits to eligible seniors.
