  Area Agencies on Aging
This may be the best place to start to find services for Seniors.  This network of 25 local agencies, called Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) provides most of the services for seniors in Virginia communities.  Find the agency closest to where you live by clicking or by calling the Virginia Department for the Aging at 800-552-3402

 Information and Referral Line
Provides referrals and information for 9,000 Virginia agencies and 23,000 Virginia programs on the web or by calling toll-free 211 from anywhere in Virginia

  Virginia Cooperative Extension
Cooperative Extension Offices are located in virtually every County in the Commonwealth and offer programs and publications on nutrition and wellness, food safety and preservation, and weight control as well as a variety of other health and non-health matters. Find your local Cooperative Extension Office by clicking. 

  Virginia Dept of Social Services
The Virginia DSS provides services to seniors age 60 and over.  VDSS offers assistance to senior citizens in need of protection from abuse; seniors requiring adult care residences; and seniors with disabilities who need help with care, transportation and nutrition services.  VDSS also prvides food stamps benefits to eligible seniors.  Find your local DSS Office by clicking.
